Now Serving Fairfield, Vacaville, Lodi & Stockton: Expanded Service Area
After years working East Contra Costa County, I’m expanding my service area. Effective now, RC&G Handyman Services covers four new cities in addition to my existing territory:
- Fairfield, CA (Solano County)
- Vacaville, CA (Solano County)
- Lodi, CA (San Joaquin County)
- Stockton, CA (San Joaquin County)
If you’re in any of these cities and you’ve got a handyman project, the same number gets you to me: (408) 623-0971. Same quality of work, same fair pricing, same fast response — just a wider map.
Where I Work Now
The current service area covers three counties:
East Contra Costa County (where I’ve worked for years):
Solano County (new):
San Joaquin County (new):
Why These Cities Specifically
The expansion isn’t random. The new territory follows a natural geographic logic — the Delta region and its surrounding cities, all within reasonable drive of where I’m already working. The drive from Brentwood to Stockton is about as long as the drive from Brentwood to Concord. Adding Fairfield and Vacaville to the north pulls in the Solano County market that’s been asking for someone like me for years.
The other reason: the housing patterns in these new cities match patterns I’ve worked with for decades. Stockton has a lot of older homes that need the same patient hand I bring to older Pittsburg and Antioch work. Fairfield and Vacaville have hot summers that punish decks and fences exactly like Brentwood summers do. Lodi homes need the same dry-rot vigilance I apply across East Contra Costa County. The work translates cleanly.
What I’m Not Doing Anymore
To keep response times fast and travel reasonable, I’m no longer routinely serving the western East Bay shoreline corridor — San Leandro, Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, Pinole, and similar western Bay cities. If you’re in those areas, I’d point you to local handymen who specialize there.
What Stays the Same
Everything that made the work the work:
- I quote in writing, before I start
- The price doesn’t go up unless we agree on a scope change
- I don’t take on jobs that should be a contractor’s
- The job isn’t done until you’re satisfied
- I respond fast, usually the same day
Travel Logistics for the New Cities
Because Fairfield, Vacaville, Lodi, and Stockton are at the edges of my service area, I work hard to bundle multiple projects into single visits whenever possible. If you’ve got a list of small things, send the whole list — I can usually knock them all out in one trip, which keeps the per-job pricing fair even with the drive.
A typical “list” visit might cover:
- A few drywall patches
- A door adjustment or two
- Replacing some weatherstripping
- Hanging a TV or some art
- Installing a smart doorbell or thermostat
- Re-caulking a bathroom
- Tightening loose hardware
That kind of work compresses really efficiently into a half-day or full-day visit.
How to Reach Me
Send me a quick note describing what you need (1–3 sentences is plenty), or call (408) 623-0971. I get back to most quote requests within a few hours, and almost always the same day.
