Fence Repair

Delta winds are tough on fences. I patch, repair, and replace what's beyond saving.

What I Fix

  • Wind-damaged panels (East Bay specialty)
  • Broken or rotten fence posts
  • Gates that won't latch, swing, or close properly
  • Loose pickets, sagging rails, missing hardware
  • Partial section replacements where panels are beyond repair
  • Gate hardware upgrades (latches, hinges, gate closers)

Patch vs. Replace

One of the questions I hear most: "Should I patch this fence or replace the whole thing?" My honest answer: depends on the post condition. If your posts are still solid, you can usually patch panels indefinitely. If posts are rotten at the base โ€” which is common after years of Delta wind and seasonal moisture โ€” patching panels is throwing good money after bad.

I'll do a quick walk along the fence line, give the posts the "wiggle test," and tell you exactly what's worth saving. More on fence post replacement here.

Pricing

Fence repair pricing depends heavily on the scope. A single panel patch with new pickets is usually under $200. A full post-and-panel replacement runs more. I give quotes after seeing the fence โ€” never sight-unseen.
