Appliance Installation
New dishwasher or microwave in the garage? I'll get the old one out and the new one in.
What I Install
- Dishwasher installation (replacing an existing dishwasher in an existing space)
- Over-the-range microwave installation
- Countertop microwave shelf installs
- Old appliance removal and haul-away coordination
- Supply line, drain line, and electrical hookup using existing connections
- Cabinet and trim adjustments for a clean fit
Dishwashers
A dishwasher swap looks simple โ slide the old one out, slide the new one in. The reality includes a hot water supply line that's been there 15 years (often needs replacing), a drain line that has to route to the disposal correctly, an electrical hookup that needs to match the new unit, and a cabinet opening that's rarely the exact size the new dishwasher expects. I bring the parts and the patience to do all of it cleanly.
Over-the-Range Microwaves
Over-the-range microwaves are heavier than they look and need two people to lift safely onto the mounting bracket. I do these with a helper when needed and make sure the bracket is fastened into framing, not just drywall. The vent has to be configured (recirculating vs. ducted out), and the cabinet opening above has to be drilled correctly. Skipping any of those steps tends to show up later โ usually as a microwave that hums when it shouldn't or sags away from the cabinets.
What I Don't Do
New dishwasher installs that require running new water supply, new drain lines, or new electrical circuits โ those are plumber and electrician territory. Same for over-the-range microwave installs where new ductwork has to be cut through cabinets or exterior walls. For straight swaps into existing connections, I'm your guy.
