Lighting & Ceiling Fan Installation
New fixture in the box? I'll get it on the ceiling โ wired, balanced, and working.
What I Install
- Flush-mount and semi-flush ceiling lights
- Chandeliers and pendant lights
- Wall sconces and vanity lights
- Under-cabinet and accent lighting
- Ceiling fans (standard, low-profile "hugger," and remote-control models)
- Ceiling fan blade balancing and wobble fixes
- Light fixture removal and replacement
- Dimmer switch swaps on existing wiring
Why It's Not as Easy as the Box Suggests
The instructions show a tidy diagram. Your ceiling box is usually less tidy โ old cloth-wrapped wiring, a box not rated for fan weight, a mystery extra wire, or a fixture mount that doesn't match what you've got. A lot of light and fan installs that "should take 20 minutes" turn into half a day when something behind the drywall isn't what the homeowner expected.
I bring the right ladders for high ceilings, the right adapters for old boxes, and enough experience to spot when a ceiling box needs to be upgraded before a heavy fan goes on it. (That's a safety issue โ a fan that's not properly supported can tear loose.)
Pricing
Most single-fixture swaps are a short visit. Ceiling fans with new mounting hardware run a bit more. Whole-house fixture upgrades go quickly once we're moving room to room. Send me the fixture model and a photo of the existing one and I'll quote it.
